Hedathale Lakshmikaanth and Hemmaragala Santaana Venugopala Swamy Temples

These villages are located at about 12 km from Nanjangud.

How to Reach:
* Nanjangud - Chinnadagudi Hundi - Badanavalu Village (Chamarajanagar Road).
* Take deviation to Right at Badanavalu.
* You get Basavattige village - Next you get Hedathale village and later Hemmargala village.

Hedathale:

There is an ancient temple which is having an Archetectural importance. The temple is having Lakshmikaantha Swamy (Vishnu) as the main Diety. The stone carvings on the pillars and walls are really beautiful.
The temple premises has a Mantapam which where cultural programs used to take place during the time of King's rule.


Hemmaragala:

This village is having a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu. It is known as Santaana Venugopala Swamy Temple. It is also said that the "Mantra Danda" of Kaundinya Maharshi is present in this temple.

The deity is called as Santaana Venugopala as many childless couples were blessed with child after they worshiped the deity with devotion and faith. The deity is also called as Huchchu Krishna, Huchchu Venugopala, Gopala Krishna etc.



Temple Timings : 9am to 2pm and 3:30pm to 7pm.

Sri Narasimha Danda : Saturday and Sunday 6am to 6pm.

Sri Sudarshana Narasimha Mahayaga : Poornima (Full Moon) Days.
